1. Chasing stocks too far extended above the buy point.
2. Not religiously cutting by losses when they were small.
3. Not Nailing down decent profit when I had them and often giving back much or all of my profit.
4. Not protecting my breakeven point once I attained a decent profit.
5. Getting bold when trades were running cold.
6. Not getting bold enough when trades were running hot.
7. Falling in love with a stocks and trusting the numbers and the story even though the stock was declining.
8. Adding to losers.
These are common mistakes made by virtually every investor, and they can be very costly. Every one of these mistakes stems from one thing….. Not respecting or thinking risk first.
